Pronouns Worksheet for Class 2: A pronoun is a word used in place of a noun. Look at these two examples.
|Rohit has a balloon.||The cat is sleeping.|
|He has a balloon.||It is sleeping.|
In the examples above, he and it are used in place of Rohit and cat. These words are pronouns.
Some pronouns we use every day are I, me, we, us, you, he, him, she, her, they, it, and them. These pronouns replace the names of people.
He and him used for the names of males. She and her used for the names of females. I, me, we, us, you, they, and them used for the names of both males and females.
The pronoun it is used for animals and things. It is also used to talk about time and weather.
Example : It is 9 0’clock. or It is so hot today.
Singular Pronouns – A singular pronoun takes the place of a singular noun.
Example : Raj lives in Delhi.
Plural Pronouns – A plural pronoun is used in place of plural nouns.
Example : Ria and I are friends.
The pronoun you is used in both singular and plural.
