Independence Day speech in English

Good Morning Everyone!

Myself Nisha.

Today we all are here to celebrate the 76th Independence day of our country.

Independence day reminds us of the struggles and sacrifices that were made by our freedom fighters to make our country free from the Britishers.

On August 15, 1947, India achieved independence after years of struggle.

Leaders like Mahatma Gandhi, Subhash Chandra Bose, Bhagat Singh, Mangal Pandey, and many other freedom fighters fought fearlessly against the Britishers.

After independence, on 15 August 1947, Jawaharlal Nehru became the first Indian Prime Minister to raise the National Flag at the Red Fort.

From that day onwards, every year we celebrate Independence Day at Red Fort.

The Prime Minister of India hoists the flag at the Red Fort and addresses the nation in a speech.

Independence day develops a feeling of patriotism among people.

It is celebrated as a national festival with flag hoisting, parades, and cultural events with the full spirit of patriotism.

On this day we forget all our differences in languages, religions, and culture and unite as one true nation should.

Wish you all a very happy Independence Day.

Jai Hind! Jai Bharat!
